Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024

In Maharashtra, the NEET 2024 counselling for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, and other medical courses in the state will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). This online counseling will cover eighty-five percent of the state quota seats.

On May 5, 2024, the NEET 2024 exam was conducted, and on June 5, 2024, the results were made public. Maharashtra NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2024

Age: Candidates must be 17 years old or older by December 31, 2023.

Citizenship:

  • Must be an Indian citizen and have residency in Maharashtra.
  • OCI candidates registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate needs to have passed the NEET 2024 exam with a score higher than the cut-off percentile required for their category.
  • General category candidates need to achieve a minimum of 50% marks in NEET 2024.
  • SC, ST, and OBC candidates must achieve at least 40% marks in NEET 2024.
  • PWD candidates should secure a minimum of 45% marks in NEET 2024 if they belong to the unreserved category and 40% if they are from the reserved category.

Domicile Candidate:

Type A:

  • Completed 10th and 12th grades in Maharashtra.
  • Have a Maharashtra domicile certificate showing at least 10 years of residency or a birth certificate showing birth in Maharashtra.

Type B:

  • Completed 10th and 12th grades in Maharashtra.
  • One parent has a valid Maharashtra domicile certificate.

Type C:

  • Completed 10th and 12th grades in Maharashtra.
  • One parent works for the Government of India or a Government of India undertaking stationed in Maharashtra.

Type D:

  • Completed 10th and 12th grades in Maharashtra.
  • One parent works for the Government of Maharashtra or a Government of Maharashtra undertaking.

Type E:

  • Completed 10th and 12th grades at a recognized institution on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border.
  • Marathi is the mother tongue, and have a domicile or birth certificate from the Maharashtra-Karnataka border area.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 Documents Required:

  1. NEET UG 2024 Admit Card
  2. Copy of Latest Online Application Form filled on www.mahacet.org
  3. NEET UG 2024 Mark Sheet
  4. Nationality Proof:
    • Nationality certificate issued by District Magistrate/Addl. District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate
    • Valid Indian passport
    • School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. showing nationality as Indian
  5. Domicile Certificate issued by District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate/Addl. District Magistrate
  6. HSC (12th grade) Examination Mark Sheet
  7. SSC (10th grade) Passing Certificate (for Date of Birth)
  8. Aadhar Card
  9. Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure – H)

If applicable:

  1. Caste Certificate
  2. Caste Validity Certificate
  3. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate valid up to 31/03/2024 (for DT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D & OBC including SBC)
  4. Transfer Certificate and Domicile Other than Maharashtra Certificate of Parents (D3)
  5. Eligibility Certificate for EWS Category issued by appropriate authority for the year 2024-24
  6. Parent Domicile Certificate, SSC/HSC of Candidate from Hilly Area (HA)
  7. Medical Fitness Certificate of Authorized Medical Board (for PWD candidates)
  8. Orphan Certificate from the Women and Child Welfare Department

Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling Process 2024:

Step 1: List of Provisional Merit

Following registration and document verification, qualified candidates will be listed on a provisional merit list.

Step 2: Seat Matrix

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will provide a list of available seats, colleges, and their codes for filling out preference forms.

Step 3: Choice Filling

  • Candidates who meet the requirements will fill out the preference form and receive an acknowledgement slip.
  • Each applicant may only submit one preference form, and after it is submitted, revisions cannot be made.
  • A candidate may select one to three hundred preferences.
  • Click “LOCK PREFERENCE” to confirm selections after filling out.
  • Click “SAVE PREFERENCE” when you’ve finished making your list of preferences because the session will expire in ten minutes.
  • The information brochure (pages 26 to 41) contains college codes.

Step 4: Final Result

  • The PDF results of the seat allotment will be released by DTE Maharashtra.
  • To view their seat assignment, candidates must verify their registration number or roll number.
  • To accept the offer, report to the assigned institute. Alternatively, resign from the provided seat to participate in subsequent rounds.
  • The assigned seat will be forfeited if you fail to report.

Step 5: Document Verification

  • For verification, candidates must bring original, verified copies of all necessary documentation.
  • The Institute and CTE CELL will notify the dates for document verification.
